“…The IHppomane mancinella L. (family Euphorbiaceac) is one of the poi sonous 'manzanillo' varieties with skin irritating properties which grows in tropical low lands near the seashore (3,6). Some sixty eases of Hippomane mancinella L. dermatitis were reported by Satui-Sky (7) and Satulsky and W irts (8) in Panamá; according to their description, it differs clinically from Rhus striata dermatitis. Furthermore, the geographical location where the dermatitis ap pears might be of diagnostic help, since Rhus striata grows only at 800 m and higher above the sea level.…”
