Derivation of Probability Density Function of Signal‐to‐Interference‐Plus‐Noise Ratio for the MS‐to‐MS Interference Analysis

Abstract: This paper provides an analytical derivation of the probability density function of signal-to-interference-plus-noise ratio in the scenario where mobile stations interfere with each other. This analysis considers cochannel interference and adjacent channel interference. This could also remove the need for Monte Carlo simulations when evaluating the interference effect between mobile stations. Numerical verification shows that the analytical result agrees well with a Monte Carlo simulation. Also, we applied ana… Show more

“…Recently, several studies have been conducted to solve the problem of ACI mainly for the LTE system. Among the studies conducted on ACI within an LTE network, Son and Kim show that an adjacent channel interference ratio (ACIR) of at least 46 dB is required to prevent the occurrence of interference between the uplink channel from a mobile station and the downlink channel from a base station. To secure the reliability between vehicle‐to‐vehicle (V2V) communication devices using LTE, it has been proposed that the interference can be reduced through the scheduling of the resource block, transmission power, and modulation scheme as described in .…”
