Serum Collagen-Like Protein in Patients with Chronic Liver Disease

For instance, in patients with rheumatoid arthritis, serum levels of collagen-like protein showed a significant correlation with the stages of activity, including serum levels of '/-globulin or glyco protein [10], In patients with liver diseases, present investigation suggested that serum levels of collagen-like protein do not reflect the grade of hepatic fibrosis, but the activity of hepatic fibrosis. In fact, labelling studies on human liver specimens in vitro indicated that the specific activity of hot TCA soluble fraction increased in chronic liver disease, especially in chronic activie hepa titis [5].…”
