Sports SciencesÖZET Günümüzde çağdaş eğitim çerçevesinde eğitim faaliyetleri ile çocukların ve gençlerin zihinsel gelişimlerinin yanı sıra bedensel ve ruhsal gelişimlerinin sağlanması amaçlanmaktadır. Bu amaca ulaşmanın en etkili yollarından birinin beden eğitimi ve spor dersleri olduğu söylenebilir. Bu çalışmanın amacı, ortaokul öğrencilerinin beden eğitimi ve spor derslerine yönelik görüşlerini incelemektir. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunda Kahramanmaraş İl Milli Eğitim Müdürlüğü bünyesindeki okullarda gönüllülük esasına dayalı olarak öğrenim gören 20 öğrenci ile yüz yüze görüşme tekniği kullanılmıştır. Nitel araştırma yöntemlerinden biri olan görüşme yönteminin kullanıldığı araştırmada elde edilen veriler içerik analizi yöntemiyle çözümlenmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda ortaokul öğrencileri beden eğitimi ve spor derslerini sevdiklerini, dersin eğlenceli ve faydalı olduğunu belirtmişlerdir. Aynı zamanda kursun olumlu beceriler kazandırdığı, farklı bir bakış açısı kazandırdığı ve yeni bilgiler edinmelerini sağladığı belirtildi. Araştırmaya katılan ortaokul öğrencileri; Sağlıklı yaşam ve beslenme konusunda farkındalığın artmasına katkı sağladığı, stresi azalttığı, sosyal ve psikolojik fayda sağladığı, fiziksel fayda sağladığı görülmüştür. Ayrıca katılımcılar ders saatlerinin yetersiz olduğunu söylerken, donanım eksikliği ve fiziki çevre koşullarının yetersiz olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.

In the behavioristic paradigm it is presumed that interaction is mainly guided by what teachers and their pupils hear or see. When changing to the cognitive domain, however, we believe that action is also guided by what is expected, feared or hoped for. This approach is generally referred to as "epistemological" and regards the teacher and his pupils as active, information-gathering and information-processing individuals, not only reacting in an everyday routine-type manner but as conscious decision makers, viewing their action as part of a meaningful framework of interaction. In a research project more then 200 pilot and 28 final interviews with physical education teachers and their corresponding pupils concerning their cognitions in "critical incidents" were conducted. The method applied to gain the introspective data aimed at an exact reconstruction of thoughts during the actual critical incident by using special techniques to minimise data falsification. The results show that teachers only in a few cases are considering the cognitions of their students and vice versa. When doing so they quite frequently are making wrong assumptions concerning the implied cognitions. Consequences for an improvement of teachertraining programmes are suggested.
