Der Einfluss der Nebennierenrinde auf die Glykogenphosphorylierung im Muskel. III. Mitteilung. Über die Kinetik der Phosphorolyse mit Muskelbrei normaler und adrenalektomierter Tiere

Abstract: 1. Es wurde der Reaktionsablauf der Phosphorolyse des Glykogens durch Muskel in vitro, an Hand von experimentellen Ergebnissen reaktionskinetisch ausgewertet.

“…This led the same group of workers to an explanation of the action of the adrenal cortical hormone. They succeeded in showing in vitro that it influenced glycogen phosphorylation, which was much decreased in adrenalectomized animals and restored by giving minute quantities of desoxycorticosterone (VerzQr and Somogyi, 1941, I , 2, 3;Verzbr, 1941Verz4r and Montigel, 1912, 1, 2 ;Montigel, 1943;Montigel arid VerzBr, 1943 , 1, 2, 3). Abelin (1941Abelin ( , 1942 and Abelin a,nd Althaus (1942) described the antagonism of the adrenal and thyroid glands in glycogen and potassium metabolism.…”
