Justification and Objectives: Given that depression and anxiety disorders are considered major predictors of survival in hemodialysis, It was decided to describe the emotional condition (depression and anxiety) in users over 18 HD Service. Method: A descriptive analysis, crossstratified 23 patients included HD service, HCG, December 2012. They were administered the Beck Depression Inventory (BDI) and Becks Anxiety Inventory (IAB) during the HD session. Results: Of the total population, 61% (14) were men. The median age in completed years at study entry was 49.35 ± (13.14). Their marital status at time of study predominance was married in 52%. The 65% of users were considered as candidates for renal transplantation. Only 9% mentioned not having a support network, family being the main source. Depression was found in 57% of users predominant low intensity by 22%. Normal anxiety regarding prevalence (43%), followed with 26% severe. Conclusion: Because of the high frequency of depression and anxiety among patients undergoing HD, it is necessary in this population to carry out some form of screening in search of disease.
