Abstract:Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is a fatal motor neuron disease in which non-cell-autonomous processes have been proposed as its cause. Non-neuronal cells that constitute the environment around motor neurons are known to mediate the pathogenesis of ALS.
