Dependency and Super-exploitation of Labor: Theoretical Perspectives, Methodological Issues, and Research Agendas

Abstract

This article analyze the theoretical perspective of dependency and super-exploitation of labor in Latin America and the world today, as well as method issues involved in empirical studies carried out based on these references. To do this, firstly, we systematize labor exploitation in Marx and in the Marxist theory of dependency as it was originally exposed by Brazilian Ruy Mauro Marini. Then, taking into account the research made in recent decades, we analyzed the studies and research agendas relating to this topic.
