Abstract:MnBi films with different ratios of the Mn and Bi components have been obtained by vacuum deposition with varied substrate masking. The coercive force and the Faraday rotation angle of different regions have been measured. Microscopic observations of the annealing process made it possible to reveal its specific features and to determine the dependence of the ultimate magnetooptical properties of the films on their thickness and on the relative excess or deficiency of manganese.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
