Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) and cloud computing are the present day technologies which enable novel and attractive solutions for information gathering and accessing it across the globe. There is a meticulous research going on in the labs and universities on these areas. However there are obstacles that must be overcome before the full potential of this can be realized. One such obstacle is the sensor data cannot be accessed globally. The insight of this paper is to elaborate and analyze the critical issues in WSN and which can be solved by integrating it with the cloud. The main objective of this paper is to make sensor data available across the globe and reduce the maintenance costs.

Abstract-This paper proposes the foundation for a flexible data input management system as a vital part of a generic solution for quick-response decision making. Lack of a comprehensive data input layer between data acquisition and processing systems has been realized and thought of. The proposed FDILA is applicable to a wide variety of volatile manufacturing environments. It provides a generic platform that enables systems designers to define any number of data entry points and types regardless of their make and specifications in a standard fashion. This is achieved by providing a variable definition layer immediately on top of the data acquisition layer and before data pre-processing layer. For proof of concept, National Instruments' Labview data acquisition software is used to simulate a typical shop floor data acquisition system. The pervasive diffusion of mobile communication devices and the technical improvements of location techniques are fostering the development of new applications that use the physical position of users to offer location-based services for business, social, or informational purposes. In such a context, privacy concerns are increasing and call for sophisticated solutions able to guarantee different levels of location privacy to the users. In this paper, we address this problem and present a solution based on different obfuscation operators that, when used individually or in combination, protect the privacy of the location information of users. We also introduce an adversary model and provide an analysis of the proposed obfuscation operators to evaluate their robustness against adversaries aiming to reverse the obfuscation effects to retrieve a location that better approximates the location of the users. Finally, we present some experimental results that validate our solution.
