Abstract

We have conducted a wide spectrum of basic and clinical research to elucidate the pathophysiology of and develop novel techniques of diagnosis and therapeutic strategies for cardiovascular diseases. Basic research involves cardiovascular physiology, pathology, molecular and vascular biology, and lipidology. Clinical research involves epidemiology and studies that occur in a clinical laboratory, and clinical trials. We believe that our research findings are contributing to evidence-based health care in the field of cardiovascular medicine.
