Abstract: The number of head and neck cancer (HNC) patients is steadily increasing, and the use of radiotherapy for treatment in this patient group has been associated with side effects such as mucositis, trismus, xerostomia, dental caries, periodontal disease, and osteoradionecrosis (ORN).
