“…All the spectra have a broader peak at around 2θ = 26.5°, which further confirms the presence of PDMS matrix. 21,22 In the case of 2 wt% CNT/PDMS composite, two additional peaks appear in the diffraction pattern at 2θ = 27.9°and 31°, which are indicative of the presence of MWCNTs in the PDMS matrix. It is somewhat difficult to detect the presence of MWCNTs in the 0.5 wt% CNT/PDMS and 1 wt% CNT/PDMS composites as no prominent peaks are detected in the diffraction pattern.…”

“…When the pressure increases from 10 to 80N, the output current of PMPS increases from 150 to 690 nA. Referring to the definition of sensor sensitivity‐S0.33em=0.33emfalse(normalΔII0false)/normalΔP$S\ = \ ( {\frac{{\Delta I}}{{{I}_0}}} )/\Delta P$, [ 34 ] (where Δ I is the current change in a range, I 0 is the initial current, and Δ P denotes the pressure change in the certain range,) S of PMPS is 76.4 Pa −1 below 40 N, and in the region of ≈40–80 N, S of PMPS is 6.6 Pa −1 . The frequency response of PMPS is shown in Figure 6c, which increases by 360 nA from 0.5 to 4 Hz under the pressure of 10 N. On basis of the I ≈ N pattern, PMPS could be designed to monitor the wave grade which was classified into 9 grades in the Douglas classification of wave.…”

“…A spectrum of pristine PDMS showed prominent peaks of CH 3 stretching and CH 3 deformation vibration at 2963 cm −1 and 1280 cm −1 , respectively, the peaks of which were also observed in the Aerogel@PDMS [ 32 ]. The Si–O–Si multicomponent peak and other Si(CH 3 ) 2 rocking representing the PDMS backbone were investigated at 930–1200 cm −1 and 785–815 cm −1 , respectively [ 33 ]. All analyses confirmed that PDMS coating onto a carbon frame is carried out well by microwave-assisted heating.…”
