“…Furthermore, Figures b–b are the comparisons with literature at high pressures, and the average percentage deviations are 0.358%, 0.214%, 0.054%, 0.085%, and 0.153%, respectively. The measurement deviation for methylcyclohexane is mainly from Matsukawa et al, and in comparison with Wagner, the average deviation is 0.081%. This demonstrates a good correlation between our densities and other works.…”

“…In the straight-chain alkanes of aviation fuels, n -dodecane, n -tetradecane, and n -hexadecane are usually chosen as model compounds, while shorter alkyl cycloalkanes are considered to represent the cycloalkane category among which methylcyclohexane and ethylcyclohexane are often adopted. For the priorities of pure methylcyclohexane or ethylcyclohexane, , the density data are abundant and have been reported by several research groups, but various physical properties, such as density, thermal expansion, and compressibility of their binary mixtures with straight-chain alkanes, have been seldom focused on. Prak et al studied the densities, viscosities, speeds of sound, bulk moduli, surface tensions, and flash points of methylcyclohexane or ethylcyclohexane with n -dodecane or n -hexadecane at T = 293.15 to 333.15 K and P = 0.1 MPa, and through a comparison with these properties of petroleum-based fuels, it was found that ethylcyclohexane and n -hexadecane were the best matched for jet fuel.…”
