Production of hybrid Phalaenopsis seedlings is generally applied by in vitro culture techniques. The final stage of in vitro culture is acclimatization. The acclimatization stage is crucial because the plantlets must adapt to the ex-vitro environment. Shade supports plantlet growth during the early stages of acclimatization. This study aims to determine the effect of shade level on the physiological and anatomical characteristics of the Phalaenopsis hybrid orchid at the acclimatization stage. The research used Phalaenopsis plantlet hybrid and shading level. Plantlets were shaded at 40%, 55%, and 70%. Parameters measured included: photosynthetic pigment content, number and area of leaves, number and length of roots, stomata density, size of stomata and fresh weight. This study used a completely randomized design with one factor and ten replications. Data were analyzed using the ANOVA test and LSD test at a significance level of 5% (p<0.05). The results showed the highest photosynthetic pigment content in the 55% shade, and there was a difference in the size of the stomatal guard cells between ex vitro and in vitro leaves at 40% shade. Shade level did not affect leaf growth, roots, fresh weight and stomata density. However, it affected photosynthetic pigment content and size of guard cells in the ex vitro leaves of Phalaenopsis hybrid orchids. The most optimal growth of the Phalaenopsis hybrid was at 55% shade.

The presence of shade trees has ecological function to reduce air pollution level. The part of leaves, stomata is responsible for the function. The study aimed to inventory species and analyze the characteristics of leaf stomata of shade trees at UIN Walisongo Semarang. This exploratory research was conducted in September-October 2021. Observation method throughout the campus area was carried out by using observation sheet. Some representative books and articles were used as references. For stomata observation, leaf samples were taken by purposive sampling. Paradermal preparations were made by wholemount method. All data were analyzed descriptively. The results showed that there were about 17 families, 37 species and 712 individual species of shade trees growing on campus 2-3. Then, there were about 8 families, 8 species and 138 individual species of shade trees growing on campus 1. The highest number of trees in both location was Glodogan Tiang. There were about 7 families, 7 species, and 194 individual species of shade trees recently planted on campus 2-3. Stomata characteristics (type, distribution, length and width, pore length and width, number, and density) differed in each species. The largest stomata size and pore were found in in abaxial leaves of Nyamplung whereas the highest stomata density was found in abaxial leaves of Mahagony. Pore size and density of stomata were related to the ability of leaves to reduce air pollution level. The shade tree data obtained in this study showed plant diversity in the campus.

The digital era has given birth to many impromptu ustadz - preachers. However, its presence often causes controversy and unrest. This study shows that, the problems that arise in the reality of da'wah that are currently rife, cannot be separated from how a preacher-cleric prepares himself as a communicator in a da'wah communication process, maps and prepares da'wah messages that are appropriate for his audience, and uses communication methods. da'wah that is appropriate to the condition of the congregation the audience is facing. This paper aims to examine the process of da'wah activities (interconnection-integration) with the perspective of communication theories to map and provide solutions to the problems of da'wah that occur. This paper applies a descriptive qualitative approach. Data collected from online sources related to da'wah activities are analyzed, interconnected-integrated, with a study of communication concepts and presented descriptively. The rise of preaching in cyberspace, many Ustadz or da'i have emerged whose reality is as preachers/communicators who are incompetent, because most of them are not equipped with sufficient religious knowledge and preaching skills. An ustadz-da'i can actually use the wisdom-wise da'wah method: firstly broadcasting da'wah that seeks to introduce Islamic teachings to those who access the da'wah; the second is counseling preaching which seeks to dialogue the teachings so that they can be implemented in their lives. Both of them can be integrated and developed into developmental propaganda that seeks to build the life of the people in meeting their needs. However, what often emerges is judging the disbelievers or misguided audience members, which in fact are not included in the da'wah method. The digital era has made it easier for people to participate in preaching, although later some of the preachers' preaching has disturbed the people. This condition requires the government and related institutions to carry out training and certification for ustadz or da'i in preaching, with the hope that they will have complete knowledge about Islam; and have adequate knowledge and skills in preaching.
