Abstract: This article asks if the phenomenon of the Conservative Revolution had exponents in rural western Norway in early 20th century. It sheds light on Thorleif Schirmer (1877–1941), a teacher and writer. Schirmer elaborated his ideology with radical and conservative rhetoric, influenced by German literature and politics.
