Demonstration of Prolactin-Releasing Activity in the Pigeon

Abstract: The capacity of the pigeon pituitary gland to release prolactin was investigated in vivo, to evaluate its hypothalamic regulation and to establish the dominant hypothalamic factor for prolactin secretion.
