Demonstrated Mercury Reduction for SSI MACT Using Mercury Adsorption Modules

Abstract: Wet particulate scrubbers are effective at removing oxidized mercury, which can be sufficient for SSI MACT compliance. However, compliance becomes difficult for applications with high inlet mercury loading or relatively high elemental mercury emissions. To address this, EnviroCare International (ECI) and W. L. Gore have partnered to demonstrate mercury reduction using mercury adsorption modules that can be installed inside a wet scrubber.
