Abstract:We examine the impacts of time-delay and phase shift between two acoustic driving forces on vibrational resonance (VR) phenomena in the oscillations of a spherical gas bubble. Using the approximate method of direct separation of the motions, we obtain the equation of slow motion and the response amplitude, and we validate the theoretical predictions with numerical simulations. We find that the response amplitude of the system at the lower frequency varies periodically with respect to the phase shift. When the p… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
