Abstract:Various models for interacting spherical bubbles in a compressible liquid based on delay differential equations are considered. It is shown that most previously proposed models for interacting spherical bubbles in a compressible liquid based on the Keller-Miksis and Gilmore-Akulichev models are unstable for closely spaced bubbles. A new model for a single spherical bubble in a compressible liquid is proposed and used to derive a stable model for interacting bubbles. A qualitative comparison to the results of d… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
