Abstract:Chlorophenols have significant environmental concern owing to their toxicity, carcinogenicity and bioaccumulation potential, especially in the aquatic environment. Inefficient treatment of industrial effluents and discharge of partially treated wastewater further aggravates the environmental and health issues.
