“…For the molecular identification, genomic DNA was extracted from fungal mycelium using DNeasy Plant Mini Kit (QIAGEN) according to the supplier's instruction. The partial sequence of the 18S ribosomal RNA gene, the internal transcribed spacer 1, the 5.8S ribosomal RNA gene, the internal transcribed spacer 2, and the 28S ribosomal RNA gene partial sequence, were amplified using universal primers ITS1/ITS4 [11]. The PCR reaction was made in a total volume of 50 µL, containing 1.25 µL of each primer (10 µM stock), 50 ng of genomic DNA, 1U of Taq DNA polymerase, 1.25 µL of the mixture dNTPs (10 mM stock), 1.5 µL of MgCl2 (25 mM stock) and 5 µL of Taq DNA buffer.…”

“…Amplified DNA was separated on 0.7% (w/v) agarose gel in TAE buffer. The amplified amplicon of around 600 bp was purified from the gel using the QIAquick® Gel Extraction Kit, sequenced using the BigDye Terminator v3.1 cycle sequencing kit and the automated ABI Prism 3730 DNA sequencer, in Secugen (Madrid, Spain), and compared with the sequences in GenBank database using the Basic Local Alignment Search Tool (BLAST) software [11].…”

“…However, the main limitation of the cited study was the use of commercially available end products of one of the BPA degradation pathways, while it can be biological decomposed during various mechanisms (Noszczyńska and Piotrowska-Seget 2018). Conversely, others have shown that even when organisms degrade BPA with high RE, intermediates formed during degradation are often more toxic than the parent compound (Mtibaà et al 2018). Similarly, chemical technologies such as photocatalytic oxidation did not reduce BPA toxicity but even increased it in comparison with untreated BPA solution (Plahuta et al 2014).…”

“…The same procedure was employed for flask and bioreactor bench-scale reactions. Using the same equipment and conditions the metabolites analysis was created according to our previously reported protocol using the MassLynx software (version 4.1, Waters, Milford, USA) [21].…”
