In this study, it is aimed to determine the trends of researches about values and values education presented in International Social Studies Education Symposium (2012)(2013)(2014)(2015)(2016)(2017), which includes studies in the field of Social Studies education. In this context, the number of authors, year, subject, methods, sample level, sample number, sample selection method, data collection tools, data analysis methods, and results of the studies about value education were examined and evaluated In this study, one of the qualitative research methods, document analysis method was used. In the research, the value education studies presented in the International Symposium on Social Studies Education between 2012-2017 were accepted as the main data sources. As a result of the study, it was concluded that the most common research studies were conducted in 2017 with two authors to determine the perceptions and attitudes of the students in the Social Studies Curriculum. In addition, document analysis technique and quantitative research methods, which are the most qualitative research methods, are used in the studies, the most frequently used interviews and documents are used as the data collection tool, the study group is composed of the most undergraduate students and the number of the participants is not mentioned in the half of the studies. It was concluded that there were between 11 and 30 participants, content analysis was used most frequently in the analysis of data and 33% did not specify the data analysis method in the studies. Approximately 40% of the studies were reported and 60% were not reported.
