Abstract:Understanding the mechanisms of plasticity in structural steels is essential for the operation of next-generation fusion reactors. Elemental composition, particularly the amount of Cr present, and irradiation can have separate and synergistic effects on the mechanical properties of ferritic/martensitic steels.
