Deflected Mirage Mediation: A Phenomenological Framework for Generalized Supersymmetry Breaking

Abstract:We study dark matter physics in the Minimal Supersymmetric Standard Model with non-universal gaugino masses at the unification scale. In this scenario, the specific ratio of wino and gluino masses realizes the electro-weak scale naturally and achieves 125 GeV Higgs boson mass. Then, relatively light higgsino is predicted and the lightest neutral particle, that is dominantly given by the neutral component of higgsino, is a good dark matter candidate. The direct detection of the dark matter is sensitive to not only a higgsino mass but also gaugino masses significantly. The upcoming XENON1T experiment excludes the parameter region where bino or gluino is lighter than about 2.5 TeV if the higgsino and the gaugino mass parameters have same signs. We see that the direct detection of dark matter gives stronger bound than the direct search at the LHC experiment when higgsino gives sizable contribution to the dark matter abundance.

Moduli-induced baryogenesis

We study a scenario for baryogenesis in modular cosmology and discuss its implications for the moduli stabilization mechanism and the supersymmetry (SUSY) breaking scale. If moduli fields dominate the Universe and decay into the standard model particles through diatonic couplings, the right amount of baryon asymmetry can be generated through CP violating decay of gluino into quark and squark followed by baryon-number violating squark decay. We find that, in the KKLT-type moduli stabilization, at least two non-perturbative terms are required to obtain a sizable CP phase, and that the successful baryogenesis is possible for the soft SUSY breaking mass heavier than O(1) TeV. A part of the parameter space for successful baryogenesis can be probed at the collider experiments, dinucleon decay search experiment, and the measurements of electric dipole moments of neutron and electron. It is also shown that similar baryogenesis works in the case of the gravitino-or the saxion-dominated Universe.

The 126 GeV Higgs boson mass and naturalness in (deflected) mirage mediation

Abstract:We study the mass of the lightest CP-even Higgs boson in the deflected mirage mediation that is a quite general framework of the mediation of supersymmetry breaking, incorporating the case where all of the modulus-, the anomaly-and the gauge-mediated contributions to the soft supersymmetry breaking parameters become sizable. We evaluate the degree of tuning the so-called µ parameter required for realizing a correct electroweak symmetry breaking and study how to accomplish both the observed Higgs boson mass and the relaxed fine-tuning. We identify the parameter space favored from such a perspective and show the superparticle mass spectrum with some input parameters inside the indicated region. The results here would be useful when we aim to prove the communication between the visible and the hidden sectors in supergravity and superstring models based on the recent observations.
