“…Specifically, in most recent years, The Journal of Cranio-Maxillofacial Surgery has published many papers reporting alterations in basic orthognathic surgical technique. These include novel methods of intubation (Ueki et al, 2004), new hardware systems (Iida et al, 2006;Nagasao et al, 2007), altering the steps of established orthognathic surgical procedures (Martinez-Lage et al, 2004;Ferguson, 2005), and new technologies and instruments for orthognathic surgery (Ueki et al, 2004;Mischkowski et al, 2006).
