Defining tennis elbow characteristics – The assessment of magnetic resonance imaging defined tendon pathology in an asymptomatic population

Abstract: Background This radiological study aims to assess the prevalence of lateral elbow pathology in an asymptomatic population using 3.0T magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). Methods Bilateral elbow MRI was undertaken in 30 asymptomatic volunteers. Exclusion criteria included elbow pain within 3 months, elbow trauma or previous diagnosis of lateral epicondylar tendinopathy.
