Defining Distress Tolerance in a Structural Model of Big Five Personality Domains

Abstract: Distress tolerance (DT)--willingness to face internal discomforts--has a fuzzy boundary with Neuroticism (low Emotional Stability), raising questions about its independent contribution to mental health.
