In [1] the influence of several parameters like gap-width, orientation and surface quality of the gap planes and axial seed orientation was studied. The results have shown that seed gaps which are wider than about 1 mm could lead to poly-crystalline growth inside the gaps and therefore seem not to be suitable to achieve growth of fully monocrystalline ingots.…”
