“…The providers of infrastructure and service areas should serve as a compound for LED by starting and allowing a local growth environment that serves the public interest, as manifestation of what is best for local persons, rather than the satisfaction of the choices of native politicians, professionals and planners (Sharp et al, 2002). The provision of public goods by the government should be guided by the local community's felt-needs (Fannin et al, 2008). The administration cost recapture means that basic service areas delivered by the administration, are inherently contaminated public goods because the local inhabitants do not enjoy an exactly homogeneous quality and quantity, as far as consumption is concerned, despite there being sufficient quantity and quality from the production and supply side (Smith, 2004;Jaglin 2008).…”

“…Total personal income was estimated at US$1.5B, and there were direct and indirect contributions to local and state government tax revenues of US$280M and US$55M respectively. Fannin et al (2008) used community impact models to estimate the economic effects of oil and gas production from deepwater leases on growth on a regional area of Louisiana in the United States. They estimated that the industry was creating 0.59 indirect (business sector) jobs in the Lafourche Parish economy for every one direct job, with largest impacts in the transport and warehousing industry.…”
