Abstract:In this study, we investigated the discriminative capacity of knee morphology in automatic detection of osteophytes defined by the Osteoarthritis Research Society International atlas, using X‐ray and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) data. For the X‐ray analysis, we developed a deep learning (DL) based model to segment femur and tibia. In case of MRIs, we utilized previously validated segmentations of femur, tibia, corresponding cartilage tissues, and menisci. Osteophyte detection was performed using DL models … Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
