Deep learning-based dental plaque detection on primary teeth: a comparison with clinical assessments

Abstract: Background: Dental plaque causes many common oral diseases (e.g., caries, gingivitis, and periodontitis). Therefore, plaque detection and control are extremely important for children's oral health.
