Deep Insight into the Mechanism of Catalytic Combustion of CO and CH4 over SrTi1–xBxO3 (B = Co, Fe, Mn, Ni, and Cu) Perovskite via Flame Spray Pyrolysis

Abstract: Perovskites have been recognized as affordable substitutes for noble-metal catalysts for their tunable catalytic activity and thermal stability. Nevertheless, the highly demanding synthesis procedure still hinders the application of perovskites in catalytic combustion. In this work, a series of nanostructured SiTiO3 perovskites with B-site partial substitution by Co, Fe, Mn, Ni, and Cu are synthesized via flame spray pyrolysis in one step. The comprehensive characterizations on textural properties of nanostruc… Show more

“…In comparison with single dopants, multi-dopants show greater potential to enhance the catalytic performance of methane combustion by combining the advantages of two or more dopants. 155–157 Toscani et al 158 prepared nanostructured mixed oxides of CeO 2 –ZrO 2 –Sc 2 O 3 by citrate complexation. The effect of the co-substitution of ZrO 2 and Sc 2 O 3 in CeO 2 was evaluated in terms of the sample's reducibility and its catalytic activity to methane oxidation.…”

“…Herein, we show that FSP-made SrTiO 3 with controlled Vos is a novel approach towards enhanced photoactivity. Previously, Yuan et al presented FSP-made SrTiO 3 with dopings of Co, Fe, Mn, Ni and Cu [ 23 , 24 ]. Our previous work showcased La-doping and CuO-heterojunction on SrTiO 3 enhancement and selective H 2 vs. CH 4 photocatalytic production from H 2 O/CH 3 OH [ 25 ].…”
