“…As the terrestrial habitats around Lower Lake Constance have not seen a reversal of environmental change, it is likely that changes in the terrestrial vegetation have not reversed. At least for the nutrient‐poor Molinia meadows around the lake, comparisons of current plant records with historical ones show that many plant species typical for this habitat have declined (Baumann, 1911; Höckendorff et al, 2021; Lang, 1973; Peintinger, 2012). Earlier changes and changes in other habitats can only be reconstructed from pollen records or sedDNA records.…”
