Do najczęściej stosowanych w pracach naukowych metod w zakresie wielokryterialnego wspomagania decyzji można zaliczyć takie metody, jak: sAw (Simple Additive Weighting), wykorzystywaną raczej w mniej skomplikowanych problemach, takich jak prezentowane przez (Afshari i in., 2010; salih i in., 2014; Huang i in., 2013); AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process), należącą do tak zwanej szkoły amerykańskiej podejmowania decyzji (Blair i in., 2010; Dong i in., 2010; saaty i in., 2009; saaty i in., 2011), tOPsis (Technique for Order of Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution) najszerzej stosowaną przez naukowców azjatyckich (kwanyoung i in., 2013; kuo i in., 2012; La scalia i in., 2011; kim i in., 2013; sun i in., 2011;sałabun, 2013) (eppe i in., 2014; Amaral i in., 2014; Makan i in., 2013; ziolkowska, 2013).wszystkie wymienione powyżej metody są niestety podatne na występowa-nie zjawiska rank reversal (triantaphyllou i in., 1989), co prowadzi do problemu związanego z wiarygodnością rankingu badanych alternatyw. Przykładowo, dwie dowolne alternatywy decyzyjne mogą mieć różne oceny względem siebie w zależności od doboru pozostałych alternatyw w rozpatrywanym problemie. Metoda obiektów charakterystycznych (cOMet) eliminuje ten problem poprzez zastosowanie stałych punktów referencyjnych, a dodatkowo umożliwia przeprowadzenie testów prawidłowości działan...
