Decay Schemes of theTe119Isomers

Abstract

The decays of the 4.7-day u»»»Te and the 16-h m <>Te have been investigated with the use of Ge(Li) and NaI(Tl) 7-ray detectors, and Si (Li) electron detectors. Coincidence relationships among the y rays were determined in 7-7 coincidence experiments. It was established that the decay of the 4.7-day "^Te populates levels at 0 keV in 119 Sb. Many spin assignments have been made from present and previously reported internal-conversion-electron data, from log// values, and from 7-7 directional correlation measurements. Trends of the low-lying levels of odd-^4 antimony isotopes from mass 119 to 125 are discussed and compared with the pairing-plus-quadrupole model for nuclei.
