Decay properties of P-wave bottom baryons within light-cone sum rules

Abstract: We use the method of light-cone sum rules to study S-wave decays of the SU (3) flavor 6F P -wave heavy baryons into ground-state heavy baryons accompanied by vector mesons ρ and K * . In Ref. [1] we have studied their mass spectrum and pionic decays, and found that the Σ b (6097) ± and Ξ b (6227) − can be well interpreted as P -wave bottom baryons of J P = 3/2 − . In this paper we further studied their decays accompanied by vector mesons, and we propose to search for a new state Ξ b (5/2 − ), that is thebaryon… Show more

“…[ of narrow states, Λ b (6146) 0 and Λ b (6152) 0 , was also observed by LHCb collaboration [10]. The measured masses and widths of these states are compatible with the expectations for the Λ b (1D) 0 doublet [11][12][13][14]. Recently, the CMS collaboration reported an evidence for a broad excess of events in the Λ 0 b π + π − mass spectrum in the region of 6040 − 6100 MeV corresponding to a statistical significance of four standard deviations [15].…”

“…Together with Refs. [68][69][70][71], we have performed a rather complete study on both mass spectra and decay properties of P-wave bottom baryons using the method of QCD sum rules and light-cone sum rules within the framework of heavy quark effective theory.…”

“…[68,69] we have studied the mass spectrum of P-wave bottom baryons, and the results are reanalyzed and summarized in these Tables; in Refs. [70,71] we have studied S-wave decay properties of P-wave bottom baryons TABLE VI. Among all the possible P-wave bottom baryons of the flavor 6 F , we find altogether four Σ b , four Ξ 0 b , and six Ω b baryons, with limited widths (< 100 MeV) and so capable of being observed.…”
