Dealing with Fine Grit at WWTPs

Abstract: Fine grit consists of inorganic abrasive solids. Failure to remove grit from the treatment process results in wear of mechanical equipment, grit deposits in settling basins, aeration systems, digesters, Membrane Biological Reactors, and sequencing batch reactors.
