Data on the food habits of Barn Owl (Tyto alba) in a xeric-anthropic environment in El Hierro, Canary Islands (Aves, Tytonidae)

Abstract

Cyperus rotundus L. from El Hierro are confirmed. The record of Poa flaccidula Boiss. & Reut. for La Palma is emended. Observations on the habitats, distribution and phytosociology are reported. Taxonomic or nomenclatural considerations are posed under the commentary epigraph in several cases.
