Data management in the MIRABEL smart grid system

Abstract: Nowadays, Renewable Energy Sources (RES) are attracting more and more interest. Thus, many countries aim to increase the share of green energy and have to face with several challenges (e.g., balancing, storage, pricing). In this paper, we address the balancing challenge and present the MIRABEL project which aims to prototype an Energy Data Management System (EDMS) which takes benefit of flexibilities to efficiently balance energy demand and supply. The EDMS consists of millions of heterogeneous nodes that each… Show more

“…The starting time of the first slice of the assignment must be within the start time flexibility interval of the FO, i.e., f.t es ≤ as f.s (1) .t s ≤ f.t ls . Each slice of the assignment has an amount value in the range of the corresponding slice of the FO, i.e., f.s…”

“…Simultaneously, execution deadlines of the previously received flex-offers are approaching and thus their respective individual schedules (assignments) have to be prepared and distributed back to the original issuers of the flex-offers. When aggregating those flex-offers, a number of requirements have to be satisfied [9,11]:…”
