Abstract: <div>AbstractPurpose:<p>The heavy chain of the CD98 protein (CD98hc) is encoded by the <i>SLC3A2</i> gene. Together with the light subunit LAT1, CD98hc constitutes a heterodimeric transmembrane amino acid transporter.
