Das 1,3‐Dimethylcyanurat‐Ion als ambidenter Ligand

Abstract: The 1,3‐Dimethylcyanurate Ion as an Ambident Ligand1,3‐Dimethyl‐2,4,6‐trioxo‐1,3,5‐triazin (7), (1,3‐dimethylcyanuric acid, DMCH), obtained from the thermolysis of methyl urea, is deprotonated with lithium ethylate. In the resulting dinuclear complex [(DMCLi)2·4 H2O] (8), the heterocyclic anions are linked to the lithium centres with oxygen atoms as its enolate form. In the corresponding silver complex [(DMCAg)2·en] (10), (en = ethylendiamine), N‐coordination of the ligand is observed. The crystal structures o… Show more

“…The coordination of the 1,3-dimethylcyanurate ligand (1, C 5 H 6 N 3 O 3 ϭ DMC) at metal centres has been reported by us recently [1,2]. The marked interest in organometallic complexes of pyrimidine [3,4] and uracil [5Ϫ7] ligands prompted us to investigate the syntheses and properties of its pentacarbonylmetalate complexes.…”

“…pCPA ligands can also show bridging properties (Liwporncharoenvong & Luck, 2005;Li et al, 2013;Jin et al, 2015;An et al, 2002) and form chain structures (Wang et al, 2006(Wang et al, , 2008Li et al, 2013). Ethylenediamine (EDA) ligands can coordinate to metal ions in a monodentate fashion (Xue et al, 2016;Mitzinger et al, 2016;Zhang et al, 2009;Fanizzi et al, 1984;Saidi et al, 2013) and in some complexes behave as bridging ligands (Binnemans et al, 2013;House & Steel, 1999;Bratsos et al, 2011;Doring & Jones, 2013;Kuhn et al, 2008). In many cases, EDA data reports demonstrates a chelating property.…”
