Darzens‐Nenitzescu Reaction

Abstract: The formation of an α,β‐unsaturated ketone directly by aluminum chloride–promoted acylation of alkenes with acyl halides is known as the Darzens–Nenitzescu reaction (or Nenitzescu reductive acylation), or Nenitzescu acylation.
