“…In a sample of American adolescents transitioning from middle to high school, Mitchell and colleagues (2020) found that students who reported less and poorer sleep had higher reported levels of hostility. Further, research has shown that adolescents who report poorer sleep quality and fewer hours of sleep are at a higher risk of engaging in a range of externalizing behaviors ( Clinkinbeard et al, 2011 , Connolly et al, 2021 , Drinkwater et al, 2020 , Mears et al, 2020 , Meldrum et al, 2015 ).
