Dark Adaptation with Special Reference to Miners' Nystagmus

Abstract: After discussing in general the process of dark adaptation, tests made in both control subjects and nystagmic miners are described. It is suggested that the primary cause of nystagmus among miners is poor illumination at the coal-face.
