Nicholas intends to pursue a career as a writer and hopes to one day write a novel. R Re eb be ec cc ca a B Bl la ak ke e is a second-year candidate studying a Master of Art History and Curatorship. Rebecca has been a resident at Burgmann College for the past two years. She intends to continue her postgraduate studies on the representation of North Africa in eighteenth-century French art. M Ma at tt th he ew w C Cl li if ff fo or rd d is a first-year Law / Arts (Psychology) student at The Australian National University. A Burgmann College resident, Matthew intends to continue his involvement in ANU and Burgmann College productions, and pursue his theatrical interests outside of univeristy. J Ja ar rr ro od d F Fr ra as se er r completed his undergraduate degree at the University of New South Wales, Canberra, and is currently a postgraduate candidate at the Strategic & Defence Studies Centre at The Australian National University. K Ka at te e G Ga ar rr ro ow w moved to Burgmann College in 2016 to complete a combined degree of Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Law with a major in English literature and a minor in Anthropology. Beyond her studies, Kate enjoys many creative pursuits, such as theatre, music, cake decorating and, of course, portrait drawing. T To om m H H.. L Li il ll ly yw wh hi it te e is in the final year of a Masters of Professional Accounting at The Australian National University. His undergraduate studies consisted of a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Political Science and Management Theory at the University of Western Australia. His most admired historical figure is Theodore Roosevelt, 26 th President of the United States of America. I In ng gr ri id d M Ma ao o is a first-year candidate of a Bachelor of Philosophy currently enrolled in Sanskrit, Philosophy, Literature, and International Relations studies. As may be reflected through her written piece, Ingrid finds expression in writing and aspires to experience world literature in its various languages and forms. B Be en ne ed di ic ct t M Mc cC Ca ar rt th hy y is in his second year of a combined Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Law, majoring in Political Science with a minor in Indonesian. McCarthy lives in Burgmann's Undergraduate accommodation and in 2017 will take up the role of the President of the Burgmann Residents' Association. He is delighted at the opportunity to publish with the Journal and is excited to see what other members of the Burgmann Community have chosen to contribute.
