Da gaveta para a indústria: correspondência entre patentes universitárias e atividades econômicas

Abstract

Este artigo propõem uma metodologia que identifica as atividades econômicas com potencial de absorver as tecnologias patenteadas duma universidade. Assim, o objetivo é realizar a correspondência entre as patentes da Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS) e as atividades econômicas. Para tanto, partiu-se da metodologia de Lybbert e Zolas (2014) sobre a qual empregou-se a análise de correspondência e o teste Qui Quadrado . Este concluiu que existe uma relação estatisticamente significativa entre as patentes da UFRGS e atividades econômicas específicas. De forma que as patentes se concentram no campo médico, odontológico, higiênico e terapêutico e se relacionam, primeiramente, com as indústrias de medicamentos e, em segundo lugar, com as de defensivos agrícolas e vacinas veterinárias. Complementarmente, as tecnologias de engenharia de material estão associadas às indústrias de máquinas e equipamentos. Por fim, 76% das patentes da UFRGS estão relacionadas a somente 6 campos econômicos.

Assessment and valuation of technologies, development and application of Valorativo software
