Abstract:Bacteria adapt the biosynthesis of their envelopes to specific growth conditions and prevailing stress factors. Peptidoglycan (PG) is the major component of the cell wall in Gram-positive bacteria, where PASTA kinases play a central role in PG biosynthesis regulation.
