“…There is a considerable lack of data regarding the best treatment strategy in the pediatric population. The use of CRS‐HIPEC for the treatment of DMPM was reported before in only 13 pediatric cases, with favorable outcomes 3,5,33,37 . Our study confirms that CRS‐HIPEC could be used as first‐line treatment in children with resectable disease who are fit for major surgery 37‐39 .…”

“…The development of CRS and HIPEC has improved survival of rare tumors of the peritoneum. Among tumors treated with CRS‐HIPEC, mesotheliomas are associated with a better overall survival and disease‐free survival than other rare tumors as desmoplastic small round cell tumors 33 . Regarding patients treated before 1990, the therapeutic strategy does not seem clearly established.…”

“…Cytoreductive surgery (CRS) and hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy (HIPEC) initially used for peritoneal carcinomatosis have also been tried in children with peritoneal sarcomatosis, including RMS, with modest results . Twenty‐one patients with peritoneal sarcoma (one with RMS) were reported to have received CRS and HIPEC in a French nationwide study, the outcome was not encouraging apart from in patients with mesothelioma. Similarly, a 50‐patient series (7 with RMS) reported poor outcome of CRS and HIPEC in RMS patients …”

“…В 2017 году A. Scalabre и соавт.
