Cytoplasmic Budding of Human Lymphocytes Due to Ionizing Radiation

Abstract: Ionizing radiation causes statistically significant increases in the percentage of lymphocytes, both large and small, which exhibit cytoplasmic budding in Leishman-stained air-dried blood films of humans exposed to low doses. In subjects exposed to not more than ror, over so% of small lymphocytes exhibited this phenomenon.
